Questions engineering teams actually ask

Yes. The Edge Gateway supports OPC-UA, Modbus TCP/RTU, Siemens S7, EtherNet/IP, Profinet and serial protocols, plus digital-IO retrofit kits for machines with no controller interface at all. Most brownfield lines connect without any PLC program change.

Connections are outbound-only over TLS 1.3 — no inbound firewall ports into the plant. Tag access is read-only by default, firmware is cryptographically signed, and all access is governed by RBAC with full audit logging aligned to IEC 62443 practices.

Absolutely. The same containerized stack runs on our multi-tenant cloud, in your AWS/Azure tenancy, or fully air-gapped on-premises via Docker Compose or Kubernetes. Data export is always in open formats.

A 6-week pilot on one line: asset survey in week 1, edge deployment by week 3, live OEE and downtime dashboards by week 6. Success criteria are agreed up front so the ROI case is measurable before any wider rollout.
